BIOGRAPHY

Phillip Lewis is a Grammy nominated, multi- instrumentalist, composer, and engineer based in the Los Angeles area. He graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2010 with a principal of piano and degree in Music Productions & Engineering. 

 

He is most known for his harmonic and aggressive nature on rhodes, piano, and organ while bringing a unique sound through his use of synthesizers and effects. His musical approach stems from a plethora of genres influenced by greats like George Duke, Chick Corea, Quincy Jones, and Stevie Wonder.

He has worked with numerous artists in the studio as well as on stage. He most recently worked with the artist H.E.R. alongside producer Rodney Jerkins on the record “Hard Place” that was nominated for Record of the Year and Song of the year in 2020. His music and productions have been featured in Movies, TV programs, commercials, and video games. His song “It’s My Time” was featured in the movie “Heist” (2015) starring Robert De Niro by LionsGate. He was the sole composer for the video game “Misbits” presented by 3Blackdot. Phillip has worked within numerous genres and understands the process of creating, composing, recording and engineering to bring the musical vision to life.
